Is Invisalign Worth It? - Straight Talk

Find out if Invisalign is worth it with benefits the treatment offers over metal braces
Invisalign braces are a newer technology boasting many benefits over the traditional option of metal or clear braces that both contain wires and brackets. However, there are skeptics that wonder if Invisalign is even worth it?

We won’t go into cost, as it can vary from practice to practice. But will we go into the reasons why many adults prefer Invisalign braces to their counterpart - making the treatment worth it.

Braces that are actually clear.

In the past, orthodontists offered clear braces but they weren’t exactly "clear". They were made of porcelain to match the color of our teeth so that they appeared transparent. The problem is that the wiring would still show. Invisalign’s braces are actually clear and this vanishes the embarrassing pain commonly associated with braces.

You can actually remove them.

Brackets and wires cannot be removed except by your orthodontist – which only happens when replacing a damaged bracket or wire, or other maintenance. This made it difficult to perform basic tasks we often take for granted such as the ability to eat certain foods, brushing, and flossing. Invisalign braces can be easily removed from your mouth so that you can tackle necessary tasks with ease.

Straight teeth matter.

This reason alone makes invisalign braces worth it. Our society is all about first impressions and the way we appear to others. People are quick to judge. Straight teeth are associated with more dates, better job acceptance, and an overall boost to self-esteem – leading to more smiles. If you want to look your absolute best to your peers, then you’ll want a set of straight teeth. And whiter teeth, also!

Lingual Braces

Braces are one of the best and simplest orthodontic treatments a person can get. If your teeth are crooked, impacted, or just misaligned, braces can straighten them out properly. But traditional metal braces aren’t for everyone. If you need braces, but feel self-conscious about wearing them on your teeth, you may want to consider lingual braces.

Lingual braces function almost identically to traditional braces, but people will never see them because they’re worn behind the teeth. With lingual braces, you can smile all you like and no one has to know your teeth are already being reshaped.
